LeoStella has delivered two satellites to BlackSky at New Zealand’s Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1, adding to the rapidly increasing revisit capabilities of the growing BlackSky constellation.

LeoStella is a critical partner in the rapidly expanding BlackSky’s global monitoring constellation. Its unique manufacturing process facilitated BlackSky’s ability to add six satellites via three missions in less than 30 days at the end of 2021, which is remarkable. These latest two satellites continue the expansion of our constellation, further increasing BlackSky’s capacity and global monitoring capabilities.

The two satellites, designed and manufactured at LeoStella’s state-of-the-art satellite design and manufacturing facility in Tukwila, Wash., are part of the “Without Missing a Beat” mission. They will provide industry-leading performance in data quality, data throughput, and operational up-time.

“We are proud of our process and the quality of satellites we manufacture,” said LeoStella CTO Brian Rider. “Our focus on operational performance is unique in the industry and critical to our customers’ success. LeoStella’s ability to produce satellites at scale and on time enables our customers to meet the rapidly increasing demand for satellite data and services.”
